DAVID - MY STORY
David is 10 years old and lives with his family near the river in Huaraz. David is a happy and boisterous young boy who lives with 9 other members of his family in a small, two room adobe house with a corrugated roof, secured by rocks.
David doesn't go to school at the moment as his parents can't afford the cost of equipment or the uniform, so the only access to education David gets is through Seeds of Hope. David's reading age is about 5 years old and this year he's working to improve this along with his basic mathematics. With a few more books and a bit more encouragement David will keep practising and get better.
NILTON - MY STORY
Nilton is 9 years old, and lives near the river in Huaraz. Nilton is a smart kid and he is always very happy, who lives with 5 other members of his family in a small, one room, adobe house with a corrugated roof, secured by rocks.
Nilton had to leave the school because of his parents can not afford the cost of equipment. school uniform and all the study materials stuff he needs to go to the schoo. Like David, the only access to education that Nilton gets is through Seeds of Hope. Nilton's reading age is about 5 years old his mathematics is better but not for his respective year in the school so he is working to improve it along with his reading. With a few more books and a bit more encouragement Nilton will keep practising and will hopefully improve..
